We do not offer busing for Pre-K students due to their age and need for supervision beyond what our bus drivers can offer. In the future, we plan to add bus routes to the Pre-K program.

Movement Pre-K is a free, publicly funded high quality Pre-K program. As is the case with other publicly funded programs, Movement Pre-K reserves a certain percentage of spots for families with an income-based need.

Our school day runs similarly to the Movement School school day to make pick up and drop off easy for families with multiple students. Arrival will be from 7:30-7:45 AM (M-F), and dismissal will be from 3:10-3:30 PM (M, Tu, W, Th), and from 11:45 AM-12 PM (Fridays).  

The school day consists of morning meeting, phonological awareness practice, a writing block, centers play, free choice play, a literacy small group, and math small group, a read aloud, a social emotional lesson (Al’s Pal curriculum), and recess, rest time, snack, breakfast, and lunch.

As members of the Movement Schools and Pre-K community, students are required to wear a Movement Pre-K uniform. Students are required to wear black shoes, black bottoms, and a Movement Pre-K shirt each day. During cold weather, students may wear a solid color zip up sweatshirt or sweater. Students should not bring any additional accessories to school with them.

Movement Pre-K does not offer after school care. We recommend that families look into after care programs in the area of the schools, and make a pick-up plan with the after care provider. The aftercare provider will have to be listed on the student’s approved pick up list in order to pick them up (pick up list can be updated on ProCare).
